Mucking up the works

I'm still futzing around with the design and content for Completely Contrary, Penis Dementia, and Lock and Load: Use the Second Amendment for Fun and Profit. I expect these meaningless efforts will slowly emerge as Internet targets of opportunity between now and the cruelest month as I struggle to find ways to keep myself from falling asleep and dreaming, but that's another post.

This post is about the recent comment I received from David Gerard on the Outpatient Intake page (click Next to see his contributions on the fuckwads at Today.com) about the latest horse exhaust from the folks over at Maggie's Farm.

This is the place who invited me to post for a few bucks a day a couple of years back, but by the time I actually took them up on the offer, the rate had fallen to a buck a day. In quick succession, the scumbuckets arbitrarily changed rules and rates so that people who were getting $5 a post were suddenly get $2 or $1, which quickly changed to $1 per every 1,000 unique visitors.

Then bloggers started getting termination notices where Today kept the content posted, surrounded by revenue generating ads, and the writers got doodly. The Sean Donald ad on this site points to an application Today.com, if you are an idiot who wants to let them buckfuck you for promises. You could make some real money in your home town without stooping to virtual whoring.

According to Mr. Gerard, pay per post and pay per click have been discontinued, and you now have the perfect opportunity to write for Today.com for the unverifiable promise that you will receive half of the Google ad revenue your pages generate. Good luck with that.
